On Saturday, 27 Sept, we’ll lay down tread one last time on the trails soon to be retired – before rolling straight into a new era of trails at Mystic!
The weekend will consist of endless party laps, party trains and unlimited Uplifts – we’ll honour the legacy of the dirt of what was and what’s to come over an epic 2-day event.

On Sunday, 28 Sept, we ride into a new era…As we lay some trails to rest, others rise in their place. Be among the first to race segments of Mystic’s freshly built replacement trails – marking the dawn of a new network with the first-ever race laps on untouched lines.
But this isn’t just any race.
Podiums will look a little different – celebrating not just speed, but spirit. Expect fun, inclusive prizes that honour participation, progression, and the simple joy of riding with mates.
It’s the next chapter of Mystic Bike Park.

This prize will be drawn via voting at the shuttle stop and will for the volly who is the crowd favourite for their volunteer work at Mystic over the years - Funeral Vibe check

First rider to the top of the hill - The Classic Champ – (Male & Female)
Number 1 and second to last wooden spoon for combined segments on Saturday - New Age Champion – (Male & Female)
Number 1 and second to last wooden spoon for combined segments on Sunday - Young Shredder (6-15) – (Male & Female)
Prize drawn via voting –Â the most promising young shredder on the hill goes to the individual who had a large contribution to the park (trail building, work with ACC, or racing)

BEST EDIT OF THE WAKE
We will also be running a #trailfuneral #mystictrailwake prize for the best video edit for the weekend.
All you have to do is film a party lap and Trail wake video over the weekend Sept 27 – Sept 28 (on your phone, GoPro or camera its up to you) and upload it to Instagram tagging @mysticbikepark and using hashtags #trailfuneral #mystictrailwake before 11:59pm Friday 3rd October. We’ll pick our favourite and we will announce the winner on Monday 6th October via our socials.

FAQ’s
What do I wear to this event?
Day 1 (Saturday) – Funeral Attire
Bring in a day of riding on the old network and commemorate the old trails with us. Get your best suit and tie or creative take on funeral attire for a full day of shuttles on the bike.
Day 2 (Sunday) – Best Party Shirt
Celebrating the wave of new trails at Mystic it’s all party shirts, bring out the pit vipers (sunglasses) and good vibes with unlimited shuttle laps.
Are regular Uplifts running on Trail Wake weekend?
Uplifts will be running on the weekend primarily for this event on Sept 27 -28th, and we’ve added extra Uplift capacity in lead up to the weekend – perfect for exploring the park or fitting in some extra practice before the wake! BOOK your extra uplifts here.
Can I ride at any time during the event?
Sure can! Explore and ride as much of the old trails and new trails across the weekend! Please be mindful of marshalls around the mountain at the timed race segments on September 27 & September 28. Uplifts are operating for Trail Wake participants only. Park open all weekend for pedal in access.
What is the course?
We will have timed stages across the weekend (Timed Stages) & you can ride all your favourites around Mystic all weekend with unlimited Uplifts.
My kids are under 16, can they ride on their own or do I have to ride with them?
Since this is a marshaled race event, kids under 16 can ride independently. Children under 11 may be accompanied or supervised by a parent. Parents can pedal up to the race trail and ride down with their child during their race times.
Are Uplifts included with this event?
Yes all tickets for Trail Wake include the relevant Uplifts for both days (Sept 27 – 28) and Mountain Pass requirements for both days. Safety Waivers must be signed before the event to make check-in quicker.
Where can I see my lap times for the weekend?
Live Timing will be available closer to the event by Alpine Timing.
I purchased a Tech T - when do I get my merchandise?
Thank you for purchasing your Tech T. You will receive your merchandise when you check into the event on Sept 27 @ Mystic Bike Park.
Is delivery available for merchandise?
There are no delivery options available for merchandise. These Tech T’s are exclusive to event participants with limited numbers available. Purchasing online with your ticket enables you to add a discounted Tech T (RRP $68). Due to limited quantities, size changes will be limited so please choose the most suitable size using the DHaRCO Size Guide.
