ADAPTIVE RIDING @ MYSTIC
ADAPTIVE RIDING
WHAT IS ADAPTIVE RIDING?
Just like standard mountain bikes, adaptive bikes come in a variety of designs and capabilities to suit different riders. As the adaptive riding space continues to grow, so do the options available. Setups vary — but the Bowhead is an adaptive bike and at 720mm width this is the same or similar width to a standard mountain bike handlebar bar so adaptive riders can access majority of trails at Mystic Bike Park.

FAQ’s
Where am I allowed to ride my adaptive bicycle?

Yes, all users of Mystic Bike Park require an active Mountain Pass and signed Safety Waiver.
Do you have an Uplift Service for Adaptive Riders?
Since every set-up is different, please contact our team and provide images and dimensions of your adaptive cycle so we can confirm if it will fit on our trailers.

Adaptive Cycling Guidelines
These guidelines below are in place to help riders, play harmoniously together at Mystic Mountain Bike Park.
All riders of Mystic Park are bound by the park’s code of conduct below when entering and using the park.

1. Purchase a Day or Annual Mountain Pass
All users of Mystic Park must hold a Mountain Pass, which can be purchased on an annual or single-day basis. Purchase Here.
2. USE DESIGNATED ADAPTIVE TRAILS ONLY
Adaptive cyclists must keep to trails we’ve deemed suitable for adaptive cycling on this page.
3. STAY OFF Double Black Trails
We recommend to stay off double black trails as adaptive cycling is not suitable on these trails.
4. STAY OFF THE SHUTTLE ROAD
Adaptive riders are allowed to use all firebreak roads. Please keep to one side and listen out for vehicles behind you. Due to high traffic collision risk, riding on the shuttle vehicle road (Mystic Lane > Huggins Road > Moran Road) is prohibited.
5. BE ALERT TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS
It is recommended not to wear headphones when riding on any mountain bike trail so that you can hear other users, riders and vehicles approaching.
6. COME PLAY ON DRY DAYS ONLY
Avoid riding on mountain bike trails when wet.
