Timber Harvesting at Mystic Bike Park – POSTPONED
As Mystic Bike Park operates within a working pine plantation, we’ve continued to work closely with our land managers, HVP, and Alpine Shire Council to navigate the impacts of the planned timber harvest.
Thanks to their ongoing support and collaboration, the harvest has now been postponed until Spring 2027.
This is a fantastic outcome for the riding & trail running community, allowing continued access to the majority of Mystics’ original trail network while giving trail crews the opportunity to expand and improve the park. It also means we can keep delivering new trails, with recent additions such as Marcus Mayhem and Techno Prisoners already showcasing what’s to come.
Although the harvest has wiped out a few trails – we are continuing to rebuild and repair – and now with the postponement of the Harvest we will accelerate building our network.
OPEN TRAILS
What trails are open?
All trails are currently open (that have not been impacted from the existing Harvest) – to see all available trails visit our website.
These trails are available via Pedal in access with a Mountain Pass or our Uplift Service.
Stay up to date with the latest developments at Mystic via our socials.
See our recommended ride guide for the best trails and routes to take at Mystic Bike Park.
What is our plan?
With the harvest now postponed, we’re focused on delivering a massive season at Mystic. Our priority is to continue building new trails (see below), while also maintaining and improving the existing network that riders know and love.
- Hero Trail rebuild (starting in July!)
- New Tech trails from launch pad (to replace Elevation)
- New Double Black Trail
- New climbing trail projects
- Spring event for Hero trail unveil
UPLIFT SERVICE
What are we doing about uplift access?
Our Uplift service has returned to normal operations and currently dropping riders at:
- Mid-Line (Lower Hero / Shred Kelly)
- Flowmingo Drop off
- Launch Pad (Mystic DH)
Riders can now access majority of the well known trails in the network, which were not impacted by the Harvest, and access all the new trails we’ve built from the Flowmingo drop off point.
YOUR SUPPORT
How can I help?
Your support is more important than ever this season!
Our Mountain Pass program has supported every single part of the developments so far. Annual, Weekly, and Day passes are invested directly back into the park, and ensure we can develop new trails, fund bike patrol, and continue to keep our trails running in great condition all year round.
Beyond the above, we will be continuing to expand and improve the base hub of the park, including investment into multiple free access areas such as expanded seating and landscaping at the trail entry and shuttle pick up
