These guidelines below are in place to help riders, trail runners and hikers play harmoniously together at Mystic Mountain Bike Park.
All hikers and runners of Mystic Park are bound by the park’s trail running and hiking code of conduct below when entering and using the park.
Any hiker or runner not complying with both Codes will have their membership revoked and may face long-term bans from the park.
1. Purchase a Day or Annual Mountain Pass
All users of Mystic Park must hold a Mountain Pass, which can be purchased on an annual or single-day basis. Purchase Here.
2. USE DESIGNATED ‘ON-FOOT’ TRAILS ONLY
Runners and walkers must keep to trail designated for hiking only when running or hiking inside Mystic Park. You can travel both directions on the climbing trails.
Climb: Start with Stairway to Shreddin’ and connect to Emily Spur to reach the top of Mystic Launch Pad. Watch out for Bike Crossings.
Descent: Follow Goat Track on the opposite side of the mountain to descend into Wandiligong.
3. STAY OFF MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS
Do not run or hike on any mountain bike trail that is not a designated on-foot or climbing trail.
4. STAY OFF THE SHUTTLE ROAD
Runners are hikers are allowed to use all firebreak roads. Please keep to one side and listen out for vehicles behind you. Due to high traffic collision risk, running or hiking on the shuttle vehicle road (Mystic Lane > Huggins Road > Moran Road) is prohibited.
5. BE ALERT TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS
It is recommended not to wear headphones when hiking or running on any mountain bike trail so that you can hear other users, riders and vehicles approaching.
6. COME PLAY ON DRY DAYS ONLY
Avoid running or hiking on mountain bike trails when wet as this can damage the trails. Treading on muddy trails causes rutting and maintenance headaches for the trail maintenance crew.
7. BE KIND TO THE MTB TRAILS
Please do not stand, walk or run on the edges of berms or edges of jumps as this can damage them.
8. GIVE WAY TO RIDERS
The majority of trails at Mystic Park has been developed primarily for mountain bike use. Hikers and runners must always giveaway to riders.
