With over 45km of diverse trails, it’s no surprise that Mystic Bike Park has become a must-ride mountain bike destination. Among its standout features is the Hero Trail, Australia’s first full-scale public freeride and jump trail, which has become a bucket-list experience for many riders across Australia.
Beyond the thrills, Mystic Bike Park plays a vital role in the local economy for Bright, attracting over 60,000 visitors annually. This steady influx of riders makes Mystic Bike Park not only one of Australia’s busiest mountain bike networks but also a key contributor to the region’s economic growth, helping to drive year-round tourism and development in the Alpine Shire.

What are the plans for Mystic Bike Park?
New Trails
The proposed new trail network aims to provide a truly world-class mountain bike experience, which caters for a full spectrum of riding styles, rider preferences, and rider abilities. The completed trail network capitalises on the key natural attributes of the Mystic site to create a suite of riding experienced that is unrivalled in Victoria and provides a facility of national and international significance.

More uplift services
Two primary public uplift services are proposed at Mystic Bike Park: a general uplift product servicing the higher elevations of the park (Top of Flowmingo /& Mystic Launch Pad), and a Lower Mountain Uplift, accessing a network of predominantly beginner and intermediate-focused trails. Over the next year, private uplift options will be introduced, allowing riders to book private a private tour with flexible pickup and drop-off locations throughout the park.

Other developments in the park
The proposed trail development will include general infrastructure and commercial services. Pending relevant approvals, we are proposing a key a social hub with shaded seating, a rental bike fleet, a bike school for guiding and coaching, a retail area, a repair shop for bike maintenance, and a food and beverage service at the trail head carpark.
