What is the Annual Mountain Pass?
The Annual Mountain Pass is your ticket to ride at Mystic Bike Park all year long! Everyone riding within the park (including those riding our uplifts as of this year) requires a Mountain Pass. By purchasing an Annual Mountain Pass, riders can save hundreds of dollars each year, with unlimited park access until 31st July 2026 and costing from as little as 32c per day (Local Adult Pass).
The Annual Mountain Pass program ensures we can continue to maintain, manage, and ultimately grow Mystic Bike Park into a bigger, better mountain bike destination.
Why do I Need to Pay to Access Mystic Bike Park?
Mystic Bike Park transitioned to a paid access facility back in 2022, a change that was necessitated by rising management costs. In mid-2024 the bike park moved to a commercially managed model, with Elevation Parks taking on management of the park. Without the transition to a paid access model, it would have been necessary to close the park indefinitely.
The annual operating costs for trail development, trail maintenance, bike patrol and required services for Mystic is ~$800k, which is entirely funded by Elevation Mystic. The Annual Mountain Pass is one of the primary sources of income for the park and plays a significant role in helping us cover these expenses. Your Annual Mountain Pass fees help us deliver the following key services;
- Trail maintenance
- Trail planning and approvals
- New trail development
- Bike Patrol
- Stakeholder liaison and management
- Not-for-profit and commercial event facilitation
With timber harvesting affecting ~11km of trails later this year, Annual Mountain Pass membership is more important than ever before. All memberships sold for the coming year will play a significant role in helping us develop new trails across the park.
HOW DOES IT WORK
You can sign up to an Annual Mountain Pass online any time! Passes are valid for a set annual period, expiring July 31st 2026 – the sooner you purchase, the more value you unlock! Passes are available immediately upon purchase – if you purchase as soon as passes become available you can unlock an extra month for free.
Once you purchase a pass you will receive a digital membership card and a membership code. Premium pass holders can use this membership code to automatically unlock discounts across a full range of Mystic Bike Park online products and services.
WHAT'S CHANGED THIS YEAR
We have made a few key changes to the Annual Mountain Pass program, including;
- Introduction of a paid kids pass
- Pass price increase
- Removal of the eMTB pass
- Removed the inclusive Mountain Pass from Uplift Passes
- Addition of a 7-Day Mountain Pass
- Mountain Pass downloaded to Digital Wallet

Introduction of paid kids passes: in year one we kicked off our operations with free park access for kids. While we have tried to maintain this policy, unfortunately it is not sustainable in the face of increasing park operating costs. We are pleased to offer a new program where members of the Alpine Cycling Club can secure 100% off an Annual Mountain Pass if they are under 17. This is jointly supported and funded by Elevation Mystic Operations and Alpine Cycling Club.
Pass price increases: when we began operations we inherited a park access program that was built around a not-for-profit model, leveraging significant volunteer resources. Elevation Mystic is run by paid, professional staff, and has invested heavily in providing additional services such as bike patrol. The modest increase in annual pass costs ensures we can continue to provide services such as bike patrol, while also progressing investment into upgraded and new trails.
Removal of eMTB pass: in an effort to simplify the Mountain Pass system, we have removed the eMTB pass, providing a single pass for all bike types.
Removal of the inclusive Mountain Pass from Uplift Passes: based on customer feedback, we have removed the inclusive Mountain Pass from uplift passes. All uplift users will now require a 1-Day, or Annual Mountain Pass.
The addition of a 7-Day Mountain Pass: based on customer feedback, we have introduced a 7-Day Mountain Pass. These passes will be valid for a set 7 day consecutive day period, commencing on the day of purchase.
Reduced Gravity Pass price: Due to everyone needing a Mountain Pass to ride at Mystic we have reduced the price of Gravity Uplift over the next season.
Mountain Pass on Digital Wallet: This year we have a new software which will ensure everyone can download the mountain pass to their digital wallet so it is easier to pull up and view your membership.
What are my options?
There are two simple options for the Annual Mountain Pass – Basic, and Premium.
The Basic Annual Mountain pass is designed to offer a simple, cost-effective pass option for those accessing the park primarily for pedalling, rather than using uplifts.
The Basic Annual Mountain Pass provides;
- Park Access to July 31st 2026, funding trail development, maintenance and bike patrol
The Premium pass is designed for park users who frequent our uplift service, and utilise other park services such as hire bikes.
Premium Annual Mountain Pass holders are provided with the following additional benefits:
- 10% discount off uplifts
- 10% discount off bike hire
- 10% discount off Mystic Bike Park events
- 10% discount off bike school (when available)
- BONUS 1 x 1-Day Uplift to use within 3 months of your Birthday (RRP $100)
